"K'rome Bawltoewat Robah Khnome" My Soccer Team!
I started coaching a boys soccer team at a non-christian orphanage. It is through a christian organization called "SALT" which is apart of our YWAM ministries. This organization has 50 teams involved. All of the coaches are christians and this is a way that we can reach out to the youth through a game that they all love. We teach them the correct rules, leadership, integrity and so much more. We just started a youth party which is once a month at a different church each time. These players are coming to know God but jumping into a church is hard for them to do so we are trying to be a bridge between them coming to know Jesus and getting plugged into a church. I coach 18 players which range from ages 15 to 17 years old. We won our first game this past sunday, the score was 7- 1 which puts us in first place in the league. God has given me such a huge heart for these boys. Many of them come to our community gathering service on wednesdays. One of our staff named Sat told me yesterday that he wants to come to my practices and play and then he proceeded to tell me that he wants to be a good example to the younger boys as well as build relationships with them so that he can share Christ with them. I love the way that God moves and is apart of everything that we do. Here are a few pictures of some of my team, please look at their faces and pray that they come to know our Heavenly Father is a new and mighty way.
