We need you're prayers!

His name is "Nong" and he is on my soccer team. About a week ago he was out with his friends getting some dessert, when a group of boys came along and started yelling and picking a fight. I am pretty sure that Nong yelled something "Smart" back at them. They turned around and started back in their direction. So the boys started running. Nong tripped and the boys severely beat him with a machete. His head and face and neck took most of the beating. His friends noticed that Nong was not with him and they went back to find him. He was taken to a good hospital where the Doctors were very concerned, they kept him awake for 2 days to make sure he was ok. I went to see him a couple of days later, I barely recognized him. The Doctor said that he is out of danger but has a long recovery time. We woke him up and took him outside in a wheely. When he saw me he started to sob. He cried and cried, as I did as well. He kept saying my name and that he missed me through his sobs. In this picture you see a proud strong boy. But deep down he has no confidence, just wants to be loved and excepted. I knew that he was feeling so much shame because I was seeing him at his worst, now he is a boy that needs constant help, he was drooling, and crying like a child, with a face that wasn't recognizable. So my translator and I prayed for him and when I prayed about him having so much worth he just started to cry again. One of the saddest things is that he is so angry and wants to know who did this to him. I shared with him that I was so angry and full of hate when I heard what had happened to him, but then I realized that I needed to forgive, because life is not worth living if I have hate in my heart. And the Lord asks us to forgive. I when started to cry as I shared with him that I want to see him grow old, have a wife and children, so he needs to forgive and let it go.

Please pray that he will forgive and for his healing. I visit him everyday, yesterday we washed his head and face and today we will watch "Remember the Titans" on my computer.

Thanks for all your prayer and support.

Anna: Your mom told me of your urgent prayer request, so when I got home I looked on your blog. I am praying right now and if any of my 5th graders check this blog like they're supposed to, they will be praying too. Thank you for your heart. Tell Nong he has friends in Ellensburg who would like to know he is okay and that he has forgiven. In Christ. Stacey Tutor
